Fitzgerald Holota Park

Better known as the Grove Street PATH plaza, Fitzgerald Holota Park was renovated in 2007 by developers of the adjacent Grove Pointe Condominium tower as part of an agreement with the city. The park serves as both the main entrance to the Grove Street PATH station as well as a pedestrian plaza envisioned to be similar to the plaza at Herald Square with outdoor tables and chairs and plantings. Bicycle racks are available along Grove Street.

Veteran's Park

Veteran's Park is also home to the historic and infamous Colgate Clock, visible from lower Manhattan. The park is for now vacant and unused land. This waterfront park in Paulus Hook offers spectacular views of lower Manhattan, but disputes over constructing the park have prevented its development.

Enos Jones Park

Enos Jones Park is a complex of two baseball diamonds, a children's playground and roller rink. Additional green space with benches are provided.

Mary Benson Park

Just of Newark Avenue, Mary Benson Park sits beneath the elevated portion of the Turnpike and provides a baseball diamond and basketball court.

Morris Canal at Liberty State Park

Part of Liberty State Park, the Morris Canal section is a short peninsula that juts out from Paulus hook into the Hudson River. Adjacent to the Morris Canal is the Korean War Memorial and the Portside Towers. Local residents often bring their dogs to the park.



The Morris Canal section of Liberty State park offers excellent views of lower Manhattan.

Town Square Park

A small park in the center of Newport bound by River Drive and Pavonia Avenue. This park is largely a glorified sidewalk, albeit with impressive views of lower Manhattan and Newport Harbor.

Hamilton Park

A large urban park located between Eighth and Ninth Streets. The Park would be bisected by Pavonia Avenue if the road were contiguous. There is no ball playing in the park.

Van Vorst Park

Historic Van Vorst Park is bordered by Jersey Avenue, Montgomery Street, Barrow Street, and York Street. The brownstone neighborhood is protected by preservation laws.

Van Vorst Park features a dog run for large and small dogs, two children's playgrounds including swings and a sandbox, a band stand gazebo, gardens and several small lawn areas. During the summer months a "Jersey Fresh" farmers market makes an appearance several times a month.

Paulus Hook Park

The park spans three corners at the intersection of Grand and Washington Streets in the historic Paulus Hook neighborhood. A few benches and an obeliqsue.
