I walk past and through this area fairly often. When I walk there, it sometimes feel as if a car is going to jump the curb and kill a pedestrian. If the state would turn on the traffic light at Barrow, and the city would enforce the speed limits there, maybe that reduce the risk of curb jumping.

The traffic department decided, because of the expected growth in the area, to make that section of Grand Street a four lane thoroughfare. This also removed street parking from one side of Grand. The residents of Liberty Harbor are unanimously opposed to this and we have met with JC's traffic director to voice opposition.

The street light was apparently installed by the developer (Mocco) and was not done according to regulation/code, so that is the reason for that delay.
